About your instructor:
PUTTING IN THE WORK: I am passionate about playing the violin. Like anything we are passionate about, languages, sports, or music, they all require the same discipline & practice as other things in life. If you want to excel at something, you need to be willing to practice daily & put in the work.
WHAT WILL YOU NEED? A violin-bow-case, rosin cake, small instrument humidifier for a violin, Suzuki Book 1, String Builder Book 1, All for Strings Book 1, polishing cloth, shoulder rest & possibly a tuner. I am available to help size a violin for students, so parents know what size violin to get & where to get the best quality student violin outfit.
PRACTICE SPACE APP: I use an practice app called PRACTICE SPACE. I will outline what students need to practice for the following week’s lesson. It is a place where I can record a current song, attach images &/or a violin recordings. It is also a place where students can post questions to me before their next lesson as well as recording themself, so I can offer feedback. *PARENTS active assistance is key to the success of violin student’s progress.
I do accept students ages 4 on up, including adults! It is VITAL that parents be willing to put in the time with younger students in order for lessons to be effective. It is also helpful if younger students know how to READ WELL before starting violin lessons.
